Last Friday saw members of both the Vols and Clon Vols come together for a Flag Day to raise money for our Development Fund. They took to the streets in the glorious sunshine outside the AIB with friendly faces and collection buckets. The response in the town throughout the day was very positive; with members of the public giving generously and showing a great interest in our plans for the future. 

The evening was spent with some of our U16 boys learning a valuable life skill packing bags in Dunnes Stores. We are very grateful to all the volunteers who helped out throughout the day, but a special mention needs to be given to Caroline and Andrew Gethings and Sam Passi Murphy who were on their feet collecting from 9:30am to 7:30pm - Maith Sibh!

Our next big fundraiser for our Development will be helping to host the Official Fleadh Cheoil Campsite in Pairc Charman in a few weeks. This was a huge success last year due to the help from all of our volunteers. We will be looking for help again this year throughout the event and will be in touch closer to the time with more details on how you can help. We have a huge club community between the Vols and Clon Vols so if everyone even just gave a couple of hours, it would be a massive help!
